Q1 Recap: Life, Loved (and a Lot of Boxes)
Posted from my couch surrounded by moving bins, half-packed mugs, and a lukewarm coffee… let’s do this.
I had a feeling 2025 would be a year of transformation—and Q1 delivered. It was a season of babies (not mine yet 😉), big changes, emotional resets, and tiny wins that felt like major victories. Here’s what went down:
👶 Baby Snuggles + Shower Cookies
This quarter belonged to the babies. First, I got to meet my bestie Maxey’s brand new baby Millie, who is, in fact, perfect.
Listen… I hadn’t held a newborn since 1996 (aka when my brother was born??), and I’ve been open about my own fertility journey. Honestly, I was a little scared. But watching Maxey take care of Millie—being in it with her—just melted something in me. It made the whole thing feel way less intimidating, and so much more doable. More love, less fear.
I also got to shower my dear friend Elisabeth at her baby shower at Silver Light Tavern in Williamsburg. The cookies were stunning, the vibes were so joyful, and it was just one of those “life is so full” kind of afternoons.

🧖♀️ A Midweek Reset at Wildflower
February was… not the vibe. My mental health took a hit, I was processing a big job shift (more on that here), and everything felt stuck.
So my childhood bestie Katie and I booked a midweek spa day at Wildflower Farms in the Hudson Valley. And wow, did I need it.

The hot tub in 30-degree weather? Healing. The facial? Bliss. And if you're looking for a treat-yourself moment that doesn't involve $1,000/night hotel rates (shout out to my upstate NY roots), a spa day is the move. We stayed about 3 hours, then had lunch at their restaurant, Clay—highly recommend.
(Also—this is an Auberge property, like the one Maxey and I stayed at in CT last summer, which is supposedly what Gilmore Girls is based on. So yes, the Stars Hollow vibes were very real.)
☘️ One Last St. Paddy’s Day in Park Slope
March kicked off with a big mental health upswing, and honestly, I think it’s because we let ourselves have fun. My husband Marc’s favorite holiday is St. Patrick’s Day (he’s been curating this playlist since January—you’re welcome). We hosted friends for a lil feast at our apartment in Park Slope—our last hurrah before moving.
We made jello shots, bar-hopped around the neighborhood, and had one of those magical friend nights where everyone feels extra grateful to know each other. Also, I hadn’t packed a single thing yet. Manifesting energy? Avoidance? Who’s to say.

🏡 WE CLOSED. It’s Ours!
After months (literal months) of paperwork, stress, back-and-forths, and us being like “are we actually doing this?”—we closed on our new condo in South Brooklyn. Cue the adulting montage!!
We move this Sunday, and yes, I am surrounded by boxes and fully spiraling about what to keep/toss. But also? I’m so proud of us. Can’t wait to bring you along for decorating, purging, nesting, all of it.
✈️ A Quick Trip (and a Cute Fit)
To close out the month, I flew to Orlando to support my amazing client, Tracy. I’ve been in a bit of a career crossroads—do I go in-house? Keep consulting? Build something new?
No answers yet. But I did love my outfit.
I rented this red dress + Staud shoes from Nuuly, and they were both 10/10. I always pause my Nuuly in deep winter, but pick it back up during event-heavy seasons (weddings, panels, etc.).
Pro tip: always filter by new arrivals—it’s the best way to find pieces that are still new with tags.

💭 Looking Ahead: Q2 Intentions
Q2 is shaping up to be just as full—moving, nesting, figuring out my next chapter career-wise, and hopefully getting more clarity on what I want vs. what I feel like I should do.
But most of all, I just want to stay grounded in joy, trust the process, and continue building this incredible community of women who are dreaming big, shifting gears, and showing up for one another.
Now tell me—what were your Q1 roses and thorns?
Hit reply or leave a comment. You know I love hearing from you.
